Mustafa - The Next Mr. Olympia
Written by The Roving Reporter
Monday, 11 September 2006
In the recent issue of Flex magazine, Shawn Perine wrote an engaging interview with the great Flex Wheeler. In it, Flex was asked who would be the next Mr. Olympia.
He replied:
"I would say Mustafa Mohammad could be Mr. Olympia. If you look at the guy, he has no lagging body parts and the craziest muscles you could imagine. He doesn't have a big waist either"

It's possible Mustafa could win the crown once Ronnie steps down. With more muscle than nearly everyone else, Mustafa has to improve his conditioning.
Many know this is one of the beefs between Milos and Mustafa: If Mustafa would put more effort into his contest prep he can win.
Flex's comment, as much as many would not agree, is nevertheless a very strong endorsement.

2006 Australian Pro:
1) Ronny Rockel
2) Lee Priest
3) Vince Taylor
4) Mustafa Mohammad
5) Branch Warren
6) Francis Benfatto
7) Kris Dim
8) Roc Shabazz
9) Eddie Abbew
10) Heiko Kallbach
2006 San Francisco Pro:
1 Gustavo Badell
2 Branch Warren
3 Melvin Anthony
4 Mustafa Mohammad
5 Toney Freeman
Top 5- Mandatory poses.
Warren. Anthony. Mustafa. Freeman. Badell.
Mustafa wins on thighs. Branch on back. Branch from the side. Mustafa and Freeman
were placed on the outside, a sign they were in 4th and 5th. Gustavo couldn’t
hold in the stomach, and Melvin seemed to have the best shape up there. Gustavo
yelled on every pose. Back double bicep- Mustafa outmuscled everyone onstage.
Same with the back lat spread. Freeman was wide though too- it was close. Side
tricep – Branch, Freeman, or Mustafa. You can see Mustafa rubbing his
sore hamstring. Mustafa led the pack on the ab/thich shot, although the camera
chose to move away from him.
Posedown- Freeman stood tall over all. They all started polite. Freeman might
take top 3 from Melvin. Mustafa for in front until bumped by Gustavo. Mustafa
took on Branch on every pose. Relentless. Melvin couldn’t find a spot
to stand in this. Is he accepting 5th? Freeman, Branch, and Gustavo seemed to
be the focus of the camera. Melvin was visibly upset for the third time tonight
after being caught mocking Bob.
Mustafa Mohammed's Posing Routine– Thick, sick, and hated on by Bob
Chick. Mustafa has better arms, chest, and thighs then anyone else on the stage
tonight. Very majestic music. Back much drier than earlier. Will he get robbed
like Titus’ bail bondsman? If so, he should be dropping the IFBB faster
than Matt Cline drops dimes. Mr DeMilla, call this man. No one hits that signature
arms-out pose like Mustafa does. Look for Mustafa to crack the top 3.
Going on right now. Pre-judging. Mustafa was just on and looking awesome! Commentators
saying he was holding a bit of water, but everything else was better than the
other competitors (course).
Cheering support from the crowd was huge -- all you fans were heard! :)
Symmetry Round
Color commentator placed Mustafa at 4th or 5th after Anthony & Warren. Couldn't see a whole lot from the video because it was so zoommed out
to encompass all nine competitors (they broke it up into three groups of nine).
1st Call out: Warren, Anthony, Mustafa, Ahmaid, Badell!
Color commentator was surprised by Mustafa and began ripping on him :) But he still looks better than Warren and Badell by far.
Comparisons
Color commentator suggesting that Mustafa is being called out because judges want to let him have a chance to be compared
up against the others. More than likely it's because the judges realize the people want to see MORE MUSTAFA!
First call outs: Branch, Anthony, Freeman, Mustafa, Badell...
Second call out: Branch and Badell drop out...Jackson & Ahmaid added...
Course Mustafa has the best legs by far, and probably the best most muscular...all 5 return to the line...
Third call out: Branch, Badell, Anthony, Freedman, Mustafa
2006 Ironman Classic
The big guy, after taking a very disappointing and disputed 6th place at the Ironman Classic, is preparing hard for the 2006 Arnold Classic.
